Here’s a little info about the incredible teachers working at Cripple Creek.
Nancy Aycock Rivenbark
- Miss Nancy is the “senior” teacher on staff at Cripple Creek. She has a background in various dance styles including clogging, tap, and ballet. She has also spent many years teaching school on the elementary level, but she has spent a lifetime loving the art of dance. She is kept sane by her husband, Bobo and puppy, Stomper and occasionally driven insane by her boys, Bruce & Jason. The dream of her own dance school came true at Cripple Creek, and as much as she loves dancing, she feels that loving the kids is what she really does best! Email: missnancy@cripplecreekcorner.com

Gina Graham –
Gina has been dancing for over 30 years, since she first started at the age of 4. She has been teaching dance since 1993. She has been trained in many different types of dance including: tap, jazz, clogging, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. She has won many dance competitions, local, regional and national in the areas of tap, jazz, and clogging. She loves introducing children to dance, teaching them how much fun dancing can be, and encouraging them to reach their full potential. Gina is married to her husband Brad, who has immense dance talent and would be a huge dance star if it weren’t for his total lack of rhythm. She also has two boys, Bradley and Brandon that her world revolves around. Both of her children have Autism and she is a huge supporter of children with special needs. Her dance heroes include Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Bob Fosse, Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Martha Graham, and many more. Email: webgrahams@att.net
Amy Coleman -
Amy began her interest in classical ballet with Miss Nancy when she was 9 years old. Miss Nancy sparked a love for dance within Amy that has been with her a lifetime. She continued her passion for ballet, studying in the Wilmington, NC dance community with Mrs. Anne Goodrum, Mrs. Doris Levy, and with Mrs. Dorothy Nesbitt. She later went on to study at North Carolina School of the Arts. Classical ballet was always her basis for study, but she also branched out into other dance forms. Modern dance using the Limon technique became her favored style of movement. She had several teaching opportunities while ‘surviving’ in NYC as a young dancer. Several summers she came home to teach ballet either at the Wilmington Community Center, or at Miss Anne’s Wilmington School of Ballet. While pursuing a professional career in Germany in Dance Theater, Amy continued to teach movement . Her 25 year career led her to Pilates. She has returned to her home of Hampstead, NC , teaching Pilates in the surrounding areas, as well as having started her own business, In Motion Pilates. Check out her website online (www.inmotionpilatesnc.com). She is happy to have come full circle, working with Miss Nancy once again, and hoping to inspire others to love dance as Ms. Nancy once did for her.
