The main building of Cripple Creek was actually built in 1924 as a car dealership/garage. It changed hands over the years and sold various types of automobiles and tractor parts. Then in 1982 it was purchased by Buck and Nancy Aycock and began it’s transformation into Cripple Creek Corner. The Aycocks used it as their home as well as business until as recently as 2011. It has served the community in many different ways over the past 30 years including dance studio, community arts center, reception hall, town meeting place, wedding chapel, and for a time, the Pender County Courthouse. We are happy to continue it’s use and share all the history and heritage that Cripple Creek has to offer!
