clogging

  CLOGGING
Clogging is the style of dance most closely associated with Cripple Creek Dance Studio.  It has been one of the most popular classes since we first started in 1982.  Clogging is a very American style of dance because it is a mixture of many other folk dances.  It combines Irish, Native American, African, and English styles of dance to form an energetic and fun dance that can be enjoyed by all ages.

AGES 5 and Up!
Preferably with at least 1 year of tap.

hiphop1

  HIP HOP
Hip Hop is also another very popular dance style.  Most like the dancing found in music videos, hip hop is danced to popular music and is a very active energetic dance.  Hip hop also has many variations as part of it.  Dancers can go from fun bouncy routines, to hard hitting numbers, as well as more expressive lyrical ones.  Great for all ages.

AGES 5 and Up!
Younger dancers might try Creative Movement.

ballet

BALLET
Ballet has also been a part of our studio right from the very beginning. Young dancers will learn the basics and beauty of this very classical form while older dancers can really perfect the style.  Truly a magnificent type of dance that can be appreciated for it’s grace and poise.  Classes are offered for beginners as well as those with previous ballet experience.

Ages 3 and Up!
Dancers might also be interested in Modern or Lyrical.

Tap

TAP
Tap is both a great class for beginners and a chance for older dancers to show off their style and class.  Young dancers can become more familiar with rhythm and beat and have a great chance to interact with other young dancers.  Tap is perfect for energetic little ones.  But don’t forget, tap is also a great dance for performers looking for a flashy dance in the style of Fred Astaire or Gregory Hines.

Ages 3 and Up!

  lyrical

LYRICAL
Lyrical ballet is a great style for older dancers who are interested in ballet but have less formal training.  Lyrical is performed to more modern music and is very expressive while still maintaining the grace of more classical ballet.  Lyrical helps dancers really feel and fill the music as opposed to just going through the motions.  Available for younger dancers as well.

Ages 10 and Up!

 theatredance

THEATRE DANCE
Theatre dance is a very musical style that blends many different forms of dance in order to tell a story.  Dancers will learn choreography from great Broadway musicals such as ANNIE, CHICAGO, & HAIRSPRAY and also have the chance to tell new stories to some music that hasn’t graced the stage yet.  Theatre dance is a wonderful chance to help kids learn to perform more than just dance.

Ages 6 and Up!

gymnastics
GYMNASTICS & CREATIVE MOVEMENT
Gymnastics is a great introduction to physical activities like somersaults, kartwheels, and hand stands.  Perfect for active children looking to do something energetic.  Creative movement is similar to gymnastics but geared toward our youngest dancers.  This style incorporates tumbling as well as basic dance movement to familiarize young ones with dance.

GYMNASTICS – Ages 5 and Up!
CREATIVE MOVEMENT – Ages 3-5!
